Fnac Darty and Ruby Attain 91.1% Control of Unieuro
Fnac Darty and Ruby have successfully acquired 91.1% of Unieuro's share capital. This marks the completion of their voluntary public tender offer. Unieuro will be delisted from Euronext Milan. The reopening of the tender period saw an additional 19.6% of shares tendered. Combined with the 71.5% already owned, this results in a total of 91.1% ownership.
Enrique Martinez, CEO of Fnac Darty, emphasized the importance of this acquisition. It aligns with their ambition to lead European specialized retail. Martinez expressed anticipation for regulatory approvals and cooperation with Unieuro's team for integration. The payment date for the reopened tender period is set for November 15, 2024.
