Forbo Reports Modest Growth Amid Challenging Economic Conditions
In its 2026 half-year report, Forbo Holding AG announced a 4% growth in net sales in local currencies, reaching CHF 545.7 million, despite a demanding market environment. Adverse currency effects led to a 2.3% drop in operating profit compared to the previous year. However, excluding one-off costs, operating profit improved by 8.4%, thanks to operational improvements and strategic adjustments.
The Flooring Systems division faced challenges due to a weak construction market, while the Movement Systems division benefitted from a recovery in logistics and food industries. The net profit decreased by 7.8% to CHF 30.8 million, with earnings per share declining by 8.6%.
Forbo maintained a strong balance sheet and confirmed its 2026 full-year guidance, with a focus on sustaining growth despite geopolitical instabilities. The development of a new mid-term plan will be discussed at their Capital Markets Day.
