Formerra Announces Alliance with Evonik for Distribution of High-Performance Polyamides

Formerra has revealed a new strategic partnership with Evonik aimed at broadening its distribution network for high-performance polyamides, including sustainable materials, across the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. This collaboration aligns with Formerra's recent expansion following the acquisition of Suministro de Especialidades, enhancing its material offerings for automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors.

The partnership grants Formerra the rights to distribute a range of Evonik's polyamides such as VESTAMID® L, E, and D polyamide 12, TROGAMID® CX, and sustainable options including VESTAMID® eCO and Terra. Doug Zupan, Vice President of Operations at Formerra, highlighted the synergy between Evonik’s commitment to high-performance and sustainable polyamide production and Formerra’s vision for supplying top-tier materials. Craig Schmidter, from Evonik, emphasized Formerra's ideal position for distributing their materials due to its vast network and technical support capabilities.

This alliance not only strengthens Formerra's portfolio but also enables access to new markets like aerospace and oil & gas. Both companies envision the collaboration will fuel innovation and offer substantial benefits to customers seeking high-performance material solutions. Formerra plans to showcase its expanded product range at the upcoming NPE2024: The Plastics Show in Orlando, Florida.
