Freenet AG Shareholders Approve Dividend Increase at Annual General Meeting

On May 8, 2024, at the Annual General Meeting held in Hamburg, freenet AG announced a dividend per share increase of 5.4% for the fiscal year 2023, raising the dividend to EUR 1.77 from EUR 1.68. This decision received a favorable vote of 95.15%, reflecting a robust approval from the shareholders.

The total dividend payout will amount to EUR 210.5 million, showing a continuation of freenet's policy of aligning dividend payments with corporate success. This increment results in a dividend yield of 7.0%. Scheduled payment will begin on May 14, 2024, and will be processed through the tax contribution account under the German Corporation Tax Act, allowing for tax-free distribution.
