Fury Gold Mines Identifies Significant Gold Anomaly at Éléonore South Project

Fury Gold Mines Limited has discovered a significant geochemical gold anomaly at the Éléonore South gold project in Quebec's James Bay region. This anomaly was found within a sedimentary rock package similar to that of the nearby Newmont's Éléonore Mine. The discovery was made through an orientation level biogeochemical sampling survey targeting an interpreted fold nose. The anomaly, showing gold values up to 200 times the background value, outlines the sedimentary package and highlights potential areas for future drilling in 2024.

CEO of Fury, Tim Clark, expressed excitement over the acquired 100% ownership of the Éléonore South project, citing its potential for new discoveries and strategic location. The project, positioned between Newmont's Éléonore Mine and Sirios’ Cheechoo deposit, exhibits two distinct styles of mineralization similar to these neighboring sites. Fury plans to leverage the experience of their technical team, who have worked at the Éléonore mine, in exploring this target further.

The biogeochemical sampling involved collecting samples from black spruce twigs and analyzing them for 65 elements. This process has indicated the presence of a potentially large mineralized body nearby. With results significantly above background values in both gold and arsenic, Fury looks forward to developing this target further in 2024.
