Galway Metals Concludes Drill Program at Estrades
Galway Metals Inc. has completed a 5,000-metre diamond drilling program at the Estrades Project in western Québec. The initiative, part of a Phase I work program with partner DOWA Metals & Mining Co., focuses on a high-grade, gold- and zinc-rich deposit. Previously, Estrades was a production site with significant yields of zinc, gold, copper, and silver in the early '90s.
The recent drilling aims to support further metallurgical test work and to improve geological understanding of the deposit. With high metal prices, especially zinc and copper, Galway sees potential for robust prospects at Estrades.
The collected samples are set for analysis by SGS Canada, aiding both Galway's and DOWA's ongoing evaluation of the site. Additional steps include environmental studies and a winter drill program to enhance resource assessments. Improved metallurgy previously led to increased gold recovery rates, and ongoing tests aim for further gains in metal recoveries.
