In a recent announcement, the Games of the Future 2026 confirmed over 800 athletes from more than 50 countries will converge in Astana for a premier phygital sporting event. Scheduled from July 29 to August 9, the event will integrate traditional sports and esports, distributing over US$4 million in prizes.

The competition will see globally recognized esports titles such as Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 sharing the stage with innovative phygital disciplines. Key esports teams like LGD Gaming and VICI GAMING will vie for a million-dollar prize in MOBA PC, while renowned organizations in Battle Royale will compete with a similar prize at stake.

Phygital competitions like football and basketball will exemplify the blend of digital and live-action sports, featuring clubs such as Peñarol and Boca Juniors. With the final event lineup set, anticipation builds for the Draw Ceremony on July 7, which will outline matchups and set the competitive stage in Astana.
