Gerresheimer AG Assesses Revenue Recognition from 2024 Bill-and-Hold Agreements

On October 25, 2025, Gerresheimer AG announced the initial findings of an external investigation into revenue recognition for bill-and-hold agreements in the 2024 financial year. The investigation was launched by the company following a review initiated by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) of the company's finances from November 2024.

The audit particularly examines whether revenue under these agreements should have been included in the 2024 or 2025 financial statements. Initial findings suggest that the criteria for recognizing €3 million worth of revenue in 2024 might not have been met. Consequently, Gerresheimer has tasked a law firm to further investigate all bill-and-hold agreements from 2024.

With €28 million recognized from such agreements, the company remains committed to cooperating with BaFin to ensure transparency and clarity in its financial disclosures.
