Gerresheimer, Stevanato Group, and SCHOTT Pharma Form "Alliance for RTU"
On September 26, 2024, Gerresheimer AG, Stevanato Group S.p.A., and SCHOTT Pharma AG & Co. KGaA announced a strategic industry alliance to promote the adoption of Ready-to-Use (RTU) vials and cartridges.
The alliance aims to enhance pharmaceutical manufacturing efficiency by reducing operational risks, streamlining processes, and lowering total cost of ownership. RTU containers offer better quality and safety, minimizing risks of contamination and breakage.
The alliance will also create an expert platform to educate the industry on RTU benefits and promote investments in advanced filling systems. This initiative addresses rising demand for injectable medicines and regulatory safety requirements.
The Alliance for RTU will be officially launched at the CPHI tradeshow in Milan on October 8, 2024.
