Africa is set to witness a significant leap in digital transformation as GITEX AFRICA 2024 gears up to host the continent's largest tech and start-up event in Marrakech, Morocco from May 29-31. This second edition will bring together leaders from government, business, and technology from over 130 countries to foster public-private partnerships and bolster the continent’s tech-driven entrepreneurial landscape.

Spearheaded under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and organized by KAOUN International in collaboration with Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and the Digital Development Agency, GITEX AFRICA aims to cement Africa’s status as a formidable force in global tech innovation.

The event will feature 1,400 international companies across 21 halls, marking a 70% increase in exhibitors compared to last year. Prominent themes like AI, cybersecurity, and digital health will dominate the agenda, reflecting the expansive scope of technology’s role in economic development across Africa.

An impressive lineup of over 700 global start-ups is expected, alongside 350 investors controlling assets worth $200 billion. These participants are set to explore the vast opportunities presented by Africa’s rapidly growing digital landscape. The event also promises a compelling schedule of discussions and programs addressing the pressing technological and developmental challenges facing the continent.

With a robust focus on sustainable and ethical technological applications, GITEX AFRICA 2024 is poised to significantly influence Africa’s digital trajectory, aiming to add US$1.2 trillion to the continent’s economy by 2030 through AI and related technologies.
