Gold House and OpenTable Announce Winners of Gold Chef Prize

Gold House and OpenTable have awarded three rising Asian Pacific chefs through their collaborative initiative, the Gold Chef Prize. Chefs Christine Lau, Heena Patel, and Katianna Hong have been recognized for their culinary contributions, receiving $10,000 each to further their restaurant growth and culinary endeavors. Hong, chef of Yangban in Los Angeles, also secured the leading position, earning her the role of Executive Director at the A100 Welcome Dinner.

The Gold Chef Prize aims to honor and elevate the talents of Asian Pacific chefs in the culinary industry. Beyond financial support, the winners benefit from exclusive opportunities offered by Gold House and OpenTable to further promote their culinary visions and restaurant businesses. Each chef brings a unique story and flavor to the culinary scene, contributing to broader cultural appreciation and innovation.

As part of her winning role, Chef Katianna Hong will curate a special menu for the A100 Welcome Dinner, showcasing Korean American dishes. Chef Heena Patel of Besharam in San Francisco and Chef Christine Lau of Chino Grande in New York were also celebrated for integrating their heritage and personal inspirations into their gastronomical endeavors.
