Gratomic Provides Update on Aukam Graphite Mine and Board Changes
Toronto-based Gratomic Inc. announced a strategic focus shift towards expediting production at its Aukam Graphite Mine amidst improving graphite prices, currently at USD 1,600 per tonne. This realignment reflects broader capital market trends, emphasizing the necessity for stable graphite supplies outside China.
Hermanus Manuel Silver, known as "Manie", joins Gratomic's Board as Chief Operating Officer. With over four decades of mining experience, including stints as COO and CEO, Silver looks to enhance Gratomic's strategic pursuits.
Additionally, Bruno Baillavoine departs as Executive Chair for personal reasons but will remain a consultant. Gratomic also appointed Kobus La Grange to oversee processing, leveraging his 34 years of experience in the Southern African mining industry.
Furthermore, Gratomic sold a Windhoek property for CAD $712,000 to support Namibian operations. Discussions regarding a long-term marketing agreement with an independent firm are progressing.
