Great Atlantic Completes Geophysical Surveys at Keymet Property in New Brunswick

Great Atlantic Resources Corp. announced the completion of ground magnetometer and very-low-frequency (VLF) geophysical surveys at its wholly owned Keymet Precious Metal - Base Metal Property in northeast New Brunswick. Conducted in the west-central to central regions, the surveys focused on areas with previously identified gold soil geochemical anomalies.

The surveys, carried out in the second half of March, covered around 2 by 0.6 kilometers. This included a priority target area discovered during the 2021-2022 programs, revealing a zone of gold soil anomalies. Great Atlantic aims to use the surveys' data to interpret the bedrock geology better and identify potential gold-bearing structures for future trenching and drilling.

The recent surveys added to an ongoing exploration effort dating back to 2021, targeting a trend along the Melanson Brook Fault with indications of gold in soil and adjacent bedrock. Despite past gold deposits found nearby, Great Atlantic notes that this does not guarantee similar findings on their property. The Keymet Property, spanning approximately 3,340 hectares, also hosts the historic Keymet Mine, ceased operations in 1956.
