Hapag-Lloyd Releases 2024 Annual Report and 2025 Outlook
Hapag-Lloyd has published its 2024 annual report, noting a slight increase in operating results compared to 2023. The Group's EBITDA rose to USD 5 billion, while EBIT improved to USD 2.8 billion. However, the Group profit decreased to USD 2.6 billion, attributed to lower interest income and higher taxes.
The report highlights a proposed dividend of EUR 8.20 per share, positioning Hapag-Lloyd shares as attractive dividend stocks in Germany. Furthermore, the Group's transport volumes increased by 4.7% to 12.5 million TEU, although freight rates remained stable, contributing to increased revenues of USD 20.3 billion.
For 2025, Hapag-Lloyd anticipates an EBITDA range of USD 2.5 to 4.0 billion amid geopolitical uncertainties. CEO Rolf Habben Jansen emphasized continued investments in fleet modernization and efficiency.
