Helvetia announces reorganization to strengthen its international presence
The Helvetia group published a press release on May 16, 2024, announcing a major restructuring as of July 1, 2024. This restructuring aims to adapt its management to its international expansion. Helvetia Holding AG, previously focused on the Swiss market, is thus evolving into a major global player in the insurance sector.
The new organization introduces significant adjustments in the composition of the group's management. Notably, Spain will become a separate segment, reflecting its role as Helvetia's second largest market. Additionally, the markets of Germany, Italy and Austria will be consolidated into a new segment named GIAM. Management will also see the integration of strengthened functions such as Group Risk Management and Group Finance.
At the same time, Helvetia announces personnel changes. Juan Estallo will take charge of the Spain segment. Thomas Neusiedler will head GIAM and Sandra Hürlimann will be appointed Group CTO. The human resources area will be headed by Esther Roman from September 16, 2024.
