Third Edition of Saudi International Handicrafts Week "Banan" Launches
The third Saudi International Handicrafts Week "Banan" commenced in Riyadh at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. This event features over 400 artisans from more than 40 countries, including Syria, China, and the UAE. China is the Guest of Honor this year.
The event aligns with the Year of Handicrafts 2025, highlighting handicrafts as integral to Saudi cultural identity. The Heritage Commission organizes the event to elevate these crafts within the global creative landscape.
Chinese Ambassador Zhang Hua attended, witnessing live demonstrations of age-old crafts. The event includes "Banan Story," an interactive area where children explore and learn through play.
"Banan" is a major cultural event, celebrating traditional crafts and showcasing Saudi contributions to cultural industries.
