H.I.G. Capital Names Brian Schwartz as CEO
H.I.G. Capital, a prominent global investment firm managing $74 billion, has appointed Brian Schwartz as Chief Executive Officer. A veteran within the company, Mr. Schwartz has held significant roles since joining in 1994, including Co-President for the past six years. He takes over from Co-Founder Sami Mnaymneh, who transitions to Executive Chairman alongside Tony Tamer.
This change marks a strategic phase for H.I.G., reflecting its maturation as a global leader in alternative assets. Doug Berman, previously Head of U.S. Private Equity, steps up as Co-President with Rick Rosen. Under Mr. Mnaymneh and Mr. Tamer, the firm has scaled its global reach, boasting over 1,000 members and 18 offices worldwide.
Mr. Schwartz is expected to build on H.I.G.'s strong middle-market position, focusing on disciplined investing and capitalizing on emerging opportunities.
