Hisense Advances ESG Strategy with AI-Driven Initiatives

Hisense, a major player in consumer electronics and home appliances from Qingdao, China, has announced advancements in its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. Building on its 2024 ESG Report, the company is focusing on "technology powered by AI." This dual-track approach of "intelligence + green development" supports responsible innovation.

Hisense Hitachi's Huangdao factory has been honored as the first Sustainability Lighthouse in the VRF sector by the World Economic Forum. This highlights Hisense's use of AI and digital solutions in sustainable manufacturing.

The company aims for carbon peaking by 2026 and neutrality by 2050, with AI integrated into low-carbon manufacturing processes. It has produced 130 green standards, four Zero-Carbon Factories, and other environmentally certified facilities.

Socially, Hisense partners with organizations like the UEFA Foundation to foster inclusivity. In governance, it has achieved ISO 37301 certification in several compliance areas.
