Holcim Secures EU Grant for Cleantech Project in France

Holcim has received a grant from the EU Innovation Fund for its carbon capture and storage project in Martres-Tolosane, France. This marks the seventh large-scale EU-supported project for Holcim, furthering its contribution to the European Green Deal. The CarboClearTech initiative underscores the company's dedication to advancing carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies in the construction sector.

CEO Miljan Gutovic highlighted the importance of this achievement in advancing Holcim's goal of producing net-zero cement and concrete. The EU Innovation Fund, among the largest of its kind, awarded grants to 85 projects out of 337 applications this year. Holcim's focus on CCUS is complemented by initiatives in innovative materials and fossil fuel-free energy.
