Holland Foundation for Sight Restoration Announces Second Annual Ocular Surface Stem Cell Transplantation Education Conference

The Holland Foundation for Sight Restoration will hold its second annual Ocular Surface Stem Cell Transplantation Education Conference on November 15-16, 2024, in Greater Cincinnati. This announcement comes following the success of the inaugural event in 2023.

Dr. Edward Holland, Director of Cornea Services at Cincinnati Eye Institute and Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati, emphasized the significance of the conference in equipping surgeons with the tools and support to address severe ocular surface diseases. The event will feature training on proven protocols and techniques.

Foundation Board President Robert Dempsey highlighted the importance of supporting the development of new Centers of Excellence. This initiative aims to expand access to treatment and ensure that more patients worldwide receive the care they need by training more physicians.

The first conference in 2023 attracted over 50 participants globally. The Foundation eagerly anticipates welcoming both returning and new attendees to this essential educational opportunity.
