Home Care Leaders Anticipate Technology-Driven Future with a Focus on Caregivers, AxisCare Survey Finds
AxisCare, a major player in home care software, released survey results on May 2, 2024, revealing a significant shift towards adopting advanced technological solutions and enhancing caregiver recruitment and retention. Conducted in collaboration with Leading Home Care, Tweed Jeffries company, and the Homecare CEO Forum, the study points to rising operational and financial challenges within the home care industry.
According to the survey, a substantial 81% of leaders view Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a transformative force capable of revolutionizing both back-office and client-facing operations. Additionally, 56% of respondents believe remote patient monitoring will play a crucial role in care delivery, and 49% see tablet-based communication as a significant enhancement for service interactions in home care settings.
The findings highlight the growing concern over caregiver shortages, with 69% of leaders expressing that it significantly hinders industry growth. To combat this, 55% are prioritizing recruitment systems, 50% are focusing on retention strategies, and 46% are improving scheduling systems to boost operational efficiency and support their workforce better.
