Honey Badger Silver Uncovers New Silver Mineralization at Nanisivik
Honey Badger Silver Inc. has identified significant unmined silver mineralization at its Nanisivik project in Nunavut. The Nanisivik mine, active between 1976-2002, produced over 20 million ounces of silver. Despite closing due to low price conditions, silver and zinc prices have since increased significantly, presenting new economic potential.
The company highlighted three key targets: Deb, Ocean View North, and Area 14. These have shown substantial silver-zinc intersections in historical data. CEO Dorian Nicol emphasizes the potential for profitable exploitation given today's higher metal prices and improved infrastructure, including a newly constructed deep-water port.
The massive pyrite bodies at the site also represent a potential economic resource for sulphuric acid production, amid global supply concerns. Honey Badger plans to further evaluate these opportunities, indicating a potential resurgence of mining activity in the area.
