SEAM@InnoHK Launched to Boost Hong Kong's R&D Ecosystem
On September 1, 2026, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) inaugurated the SEAM@InnoHK research cluster at Hong Kong Science Park. This initiative, in collaboration with the Innovation and Technology Commission, emphasizes sustainable development, energy, advanced manufacturing, and materials. SEAM@InnoHK is led by renowned local and international research institutions, solidifying Hong Kong's status as a global hub for innovation and technology.
The inauguration featured prominent figures, including Professor Sun Dong and Ms Cordelia Chung. SEAM@InnoHK integrates eight R&D centers with collaborations from over 30 top global universities, enhancing the city's research capabilities. Three centers include Nobel Laureates, highlighting the high level of international cooperation. These efforts contribute to developing a robust I&T ecosystem in Hong Kong, fostering commercial breakthroughs.
