HOPIUM and K-Challenge join forces to develop maritime hydrogen systems

HOPIUM, specialist in hydrogen engine solutions, has signed a partnership with K-Challenge/Orient-Express Racing Team. The objective: to create a platform of hydrogen solutions for boats less than 30m.

The Orient Express Racing Team Chase Boat demonstrator will be equipped with a 160 kW Hopium fuel cell system from next year. This project highlights HOPIUM’s ability to provide carbon-free and efficient solutions.

Stéphane Rabatel, CEO of Hopium, expresses his satisfaction with this partnership, a sign of growing interest in their technologies in the maritime sector. This project, in collaboration with K-Challenge Lab, aims to promote sustainable technologies.

This partnership shows the relevance of HOPIUM solutions in various sectors and confirms their development schedule with commercialization planned for early 2025.
