HRS and Element 2 join forces to accelerate hydrogen mobility in the UK
Grenoble, September 30, 2024 - HRS, a French designer and manufacturer of hydrogen refueling stations, announces a new order in the United Kingdom. HRS will supply an HRS14 hydrogen station to Element 2, a key player in the sector, to support the British energy transition and decarbonize transport through hydrogen solutions.
Element 2 is developing the first national network of hydrogen refuelling stations in the UK and Ireland. This infrastructure aims to meet the demand from commercial fleet operators and individuals to facilitate the transition to zero-emission mobility.
The HRS14 station, with a capacity of 14kg/hour, will be installed at Teesside International Airport. Powered by green hydrogen, it will refuel airport support vehicles and other commercial vehicles. This order confirms the European success of HRS stations and paves the way for future developments to accelerate the decarbonisation of transport in the UK.
Tim Harper, CEO of Element 2, and Hassen Rachedi, CEO of HRS, welcome this collaboration which aims to develop a large-scale hydrogen refuelling network in the UK.
