ICAC Hong Kong Lauds NACC Thailand's Anti-Corruption Efforts

Bangkok, Thailand - From May 22 to 23, 2024, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) of Thailand participated in the 8th ICAC Symposium held in Hong Kong SAR, China. The Thai delegation was led by NACC Commissioner Mr. Manrat Ratanasukon and included top officials involved in international affairs and corruption investigation.

The symposium gathered over 500 participants from more than 180 agencies worldwide to discuss emerging challenges and strategies in the fight against corruption. The event, inaugurated by Mr. John KC Lee, Chief Executive of Hong Kong, highlighted the need for effective anti-corruption initiatives and international collaboration.

Key discussions focused on the impact of corruption on global security and the economy, proposing new strategies for enforcement agencies. The Thai delegation also held bilateral talks with ICAC representatives, focusing on enhancing cooperation to tackle corruption in the private sector.

Hong Kong praised NACC Thailand’s efforts, particularly its ITA assessments and collaboration with the private sector. Both sides expressed a strong intent to continue sharing knowledge in their anti-corruption missions.
