Joint offer from Bouygues Telecom, Free-Groupe iliad and Orange for Altice assets in France

Bouygues Telecom, Free-Groupe iliad, and Orange have submitted a non-binding offer to acquire a large portion of Altice's telecoms business in France. This initiative primarily aims to strengthen investments in various areas such as network resilience, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. It also aims to consolidate control of strategic infrastructure and ensure a competitive environment that benefits consumers.

The main assets targeted primarily concern SFR, but exclude certain overseas activities and specific stakes. The offer is estimated at around €17 billion, valuing Altice France at more than €21 billion. The proposed asset split would see Bouygues Telecom and Free-Groupe iliad primarily take over the B2B business, while the B2C sector would be shared between the three operators. The completion of the offer will depend on several factors, including the seller's agreement and various financial assessments.
