Innovative Partnership between Emergency Technical Decon and Ten-8 Fire & Safety to Combat Cancer among Firefighters
Emergency Technical Decon (ETD), a leading cleaning solutions provider, has announced its partnership with Ten-8 Fire & Safety, a prominent distributor of emergency equipment in the United States. This partnership aims to reduce the high rates of occupational cancer among firefighters through the use of liquid CO2-based technologies.
The announcement comes after Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month in January and highlights ETD's commitment to exceeding industry standards and guidelines to protect firefighters' health. "The southeast is home to forward-thinking fire departments looking for innovative solutions. We are proud to partner with Ten-8 to introduce the first liquid CO2-based ISP in the region," says Mike Duyck, President of Emergency Technical Decon.
The technology will be available at Ten-8's headquarters in Bradenton, FL, starting in the third quarter of 2024. This initiative is particularly significant for departments in Florida and Georgia, eager to adopt proven cleaning solutions for firefighter equipment. "We are privileged to launch an ISP that will have a positive impact on the health and well-being of our customers," adds Keith Chapman, President of Ten-8 Fire & Safety.
