Intershop Begins 2025 with Stable Financial Results
Intershop Communications AG has reported its first-quarter results for 2025, showing a 4% decrease in revenues to EUR 9.1 million compared to EUR 9.5 million the previous year. Despite the dip in revenue, the company achieved a balanced EBIT, thanks to efficient cost management.
The cloud segment saw a 5% increase in revenues, now representing 56% of total revenues. However, incoming cloud orders fell short of expectations. Service revenues dropped by 18%, attributed to a strategic pivot to the partner network.
Gross profit increased by 5% to EUR 4.4 million, with a gross margin improvement to 48%. Operating expenses rose slightly, while R&D investments grew by 12%. Intershop's EBIT was positive at EUR 0.1 million, reflecting progress over the prior year.
The management forecasts a slight increase in cloud orders and net new ARR for the entire year of 2025, despite challenging market conditions.
