Intershop Communications AG Appoints New CEO
Intershop Communications AG announces a significant change in its leadership. Current CEO Markus Klahn will step down at the end of August 2025, citing personal reasons. Markus Dränert, who has been serving as the Chief Operating Officer since late 2023, will take over as the CEO from September 1, 2025.
The Supervisory Board, led by Frank Fischer, expressed gratitude to Klahn for his contributions, emphasizing his role in the company's strategic pivot towards cloud solutions. Fischer highlighted Dränert's experience in the software industry and his ability to drive transformation initiatives, especially focusing on artificial intelligence developments.
Dränert, equipped with a business administration background and extensive industry experience, aims to continue expanding Intershop's cloud offerings and AI strategy. His previous roles include successful stints at Haufe-Lexware and as an Operating Partner at Aurelius Group.
