Jaguar Mining Reports Q1 2025 Production Results
Jaguar Mining Inc. announced its preliminary production results for Q1 2025. The company produced 9,923 ounces of gold, solely from the Pilar mine. This signifies a drop from 16,177 ounces in Q1 2024, primarily due to the suspension of the Turmalina mine after a dry-stack slump. The Pilar mine, however, increased output by 6%, producing 9,923 ounces, with improvements in head grade and recovery rates.
Development at Pilar included 1,292 meters, up 71% from last year. Diamond drilling was 5,439 meters compared to 3,270 meters previously. Cash decreased from $46.3 million at year-end 2024 to $40.3 million due to accrued expense payments and a slump incident financial impact.
Jaguar's CEO expressed satisfaction with security and operational developments despite Turmalina's issues, emphasizing ongoing efforts to resume mine activities and enhance production capacities at other sites.
