JP Morgan Chase & Co. reduces its stake in ALSTOM
On May 16, 2024, JP Morgan Chase & Co. officially announced that it had reduced its stake in Paris-based ALSTOM. According to a document received by the stock exchange authorities, this large American bank has fallen below the regulatory thresholds of 5% of the capital and voting rights of the French company.
This significant reduction in participation results directly from the sale of shares on the market as well as the reduction in shares held by assimilation. Following these operations, JP Morgan Chase & Co. no longer owns shares of ALSTOM in the regulatory sense of the term, thus benefiting from the exemption provided for by the general regulations for trading.
