KAP AG Reports Enhanced Profitability Amid Market Challenges

KAP AG, a medium-sized industrial holding, has confirmed improved profitability for the 2024 financial year, despite a 4.8% decrease in revenue to €252.5 million. The company's strategic restructuring and optimization efforts contributed to a significant increase in normalised EBITDA, which rose by 72.4% to €21.9 million.

Segments showed mixed performances. The engineered products segment experienced a revenue decline due to persistently weak automotive demand. Conversely, the flexible films segment saw growth, driven by higher quality pool liner sales. Surface technologies faced ongoing challenges from the automotive sector.

Impairment losses, primarily in precision components and surface technologies, led to a net loss of €45.7 million. With plans for further restructuring, no dividend will be issued for 2024. Looking ahead, KAP forecasts 2025 revenue between €245-265 million and a normalised EBITDA of €19-23 million.
