Kapsch TrafficCom AG Reports First Half 2024/25 Results
Kapsch TrafficCom AG announced a 3% increase in revenue for the first half of 2024/25, reaching EUR 275 million. Despite operational improvements, results were negatively affected by deconsolidation effects, particularly from the sale of its South African subsidiary, TMT. This resulted in a decrease in EBIT to EUR -1 million, compared to EUR 74 million in the previous year, which was positively influenced by a one-off settlement in Germany.
The tolling segment saw a 9% revenue rise, while traffic management revenues fell by 10% due to decreased Spanish operations and TMT's sale. Regional growth was noted in the Americas and EMEA, while the Asia-Pacific region experienced a 22% revenue decline.
Financial improvements were highlighted by reduced financial result losses and a slight increase in equity ratio to 21%. The outlook remains positive, targeting revenue growth above market expansion and improved EBIT, focusing on cost efficiency and net debt reduction.
