KFC Africa relies on collaboration to eradicate child malnutrition

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, October 10, 2025 – On World Food Day, KFC Africa unveiled its “Add Hope” initiative at the “Biggest Hunger Hack.” The 16-year-old program is South Africa’s largest non-governmental food project.

KFC has mobilized 60 young talents in collaboration with the University of Johannesburg to optimize "Add Hope" strategies. Andra Nel, Head of Business Affairs, emphasizes the importance of Generation Z in the fight against hunger, due to their technological and community skills.

The initiative has already raised R1 billion by 2024 through public donations and KFC's contribution. Future partnerships, including giants like Coca-Cola and Tiger Brands, aim to intensify this fight.
