KFC Launches Innovative 'Gravy Train' Experience for Rugby Fans
In a distinctive blend of culinary delight and sports enthusiasm, KFC, in partnership with Auckland Transport and the Blues, introduces the first-ever 'KFC Gravy Train'. This novel concept combines KFC's iconic culinary offerings with the thrill of Super Rugby, offering passengers a unique pre-game experience on April 5.
The service, designed to promote public transport usage among sports event attendees, will provide a free journey from Britomart Station to Eden Park for those holding tickets to the Blues vs Force game. The 'KFC Gravy Train' aims to enhance the game day experience by offering passengers a lively atmosphere and KFC's well-loved fried chicken.
Clark Wilson, a representative from KFC, emphasized the initiative's objective to encourage Kiwis to enjoy their game day to the fullest, leveraging the partnership with Auckland Transport and the Blues. He also highlighted the synergy between rugby and KFC, both of which have significantly influenced New Zealand's culture over the years.
The train ride promises excitement with Carlos Spencer, a famed ex-All Blacks and Blues player, acting as the 'Train Conclucktor'. He, along with a team of KFC 'wingers', will ensure passengers get their fill of KFC's offerings during the trip.
Blues CEO Andrew Hore praised the initiative, pointing to its potential to draw more visitors to live Super Rugby games at Eden Park, now with the added allure of complimentary KFC, making the experience even more enticing for fans.
