German Offtake Partner to Double Graphite Volumes to 40,000 tpa
EcoGraf Limited has signed a new agreement with a major German graphite trader to double the purchase of natural flake graphite from Tanzania's Epanko project. Starting with 20,000 tpa, volumes will increase to 40,000 tpa after five years, evidencing Epanko's graphite quality and demand in Europe, especially Germany. This 10-year agreement is based on market prices with a floor price to protect against downturns, supporting future expansions beyond the initial 73,000 tpa capacity.
Uncommitted production will continue to back EcoGraf's battery anode material strategy, while the current agreement represents around 55% of Epanko's capacity. Confidentiality maintains the counterparty's anonymity, while the agreement's terms are still subject to final conditions and financing.
