Kingsbarn Completes Value-Add Program at University of Oregon Student Housing

Kingsbarn Capital & Development has finalized the renovation of Ducks Village, a 650-bed student housing community in Eugene, Oregon. Located near the University of Oregon, Ducks Village provides fully furnished suites ranging from one- to four-bedroom units. The renovations aimed at enhancing living standards and included the installation of new stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, updated cabinets, HVAC units, smart home features like Nest thermostats, and LED lighting.

Common areas also saw significant improvements. These included an upgraded clubhouse and fitness center, a new dog park, pool furniture, an outdoor kitchen, improved signage, and upgraded internet facilities. The renovation, costing $7 million, has boosted occupancy to 96%, affirming the demand for quality student housing.

Kingsbarn's CIO, Phil Mader, emphasized the importance of sustainability in their projects. The company aims to create modern, energy-efficient spaces that are environmentally friendly. Built in 1995, Ducks Village now stands as a testament to Kingsbarn's commitment to improving student living conditions and ecological sustainability.
