Knorr-Bremse Increases Dividend and Revamps Supervisory Board
Knorr-Bremse AG has announced a proposed increase in their dividend to €1.75 per share following robust business results in 2024. This marks a 7% rise from the previous year and raises the payout ratio to about 60%, acknowledging the impact of non-recurring, non-cash items on net income. The company aims to align the dividend with long-term policy, distributing between 40% to 50% of earnings to shareholders.
The company is also restructuring its Supervisory Board. The Heinz Hermann Thiele Family Foundation, now holding 58.99% of shares, plans to have two representatives on the board. Stephan Sturm, the Foundation's CEO, is a candidate for the Supervisory Board, while Dr. Theodor Weimer steps down.
These changes await shareholder approval at the upcoming virtual Annual General Meeting scheduled for April 30, 2025.
