Congatec Acquires Majority Stake in JUMPtec
On July 1, 2025, congatec GmbH acquired a 96% share in JUMPtec GmbH, a subsidiary of Kontron AG, through a capital increase. This strategic move merges the technological expertise of both entities, enhancing their global manufacturing capabilities. The acquisition includes Kontron's U.S. and Malaysian module subsidiaries, potentially generating over EUR 100 million in cash inflows for Kontron. Consequently, EBITDA is expected to rise by EUR 50-70 million in Q2 2025.
Kontron will benefit from additional income if DBAG exits congatec. The revenue and EBITDA forecasts for the full year will adjust pending Q2 results, as JUMPtec reported EUR 90 million in 2024 sales. CEO Hannes Niederhauser emphasizes that the partnership secures access to high-performance modules and strengthens production capabilities.
