Lahontan Confirms Eastern Extension to Shallow Gold Mineralization at West Santa Fe
Lahontan Gold Corp (TSXV: LG) (OTCQB: LGCXF) has confirmed an easterly extension of shallow gold and silver mineralization at its West Santa Fe project in Nevada's prolific Walker Lane. The confirmation comes following detailed fieldwork and reinterpretation of a magnetic geophysical survey. The extension spans nearly 1,000 meters from an area of historic drilling.
Historic drilling at West Santa Fe includes 171 drill holes totaling approximately 13,000 meters. This drilling has defined shallow, oxidized gold and silver mineralization near the Mindora underground mine. The recent work shows this zone extends eastward, marked by shallow adits, prospect pits, and hydrothermally altered rock outcrops.
Kimberly Ann, Lahontan Founder, CEO, President, and Director, highlighted the strategic importance of this work. Further detailed mapping and sampling will target the newly confirmed extension, emphasizing the project's expanded potential.
