CTOs' confidence in the AI ladder is declining, according to Akkodis

A study by Akkodis reveals a decline in CTO confidence in the large-scale deployment of AI, falling from 82% in 2024 to 48% in 2026. Despite this decline, AI adoption is accelerating, posing a challenge of integration rather than technological access. Agentic AI, capable of planning and executing tasks, is identified as a significant transformative trend.

Major obstacles include a lack of internal skills (32%) and uncertainty about return on investment (31%). The report highlights a shift towards innovation as the primary driver of digital investments, challenging traditional operating models.
