Lithium South Extends Share Purchase Agreement with POSCO Argentina
Lithium South Development Corporation has announced an extension to its Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) with POSCO Argentina S.A.U. The agreement outlines the sale of its subsidiary, NRG Metals Argentina S.A., which holds the Hombre Muerto North Lithium Project in Salta Province, Argentina. The deal, valued at USD 65 million, was initially announced in July.
The extension moves the formalization date to December 5, 2025. This decision follows air travel disruptions and statutory holidays in Argentina and the United States, which have impacted the scheduling. The agreement's extension provides additional time for both parties to complete negotiations.
The deal remains subject to completion by the new deadline, amid regulatory reviews and market conditions. The extension is part of ongoing adjustments due to unforeseen logistical challenges.
