Global Survey Shows Growing Support for Esports Education

A recent study by Logitech G has found that 65% of people worldwide advocate for more formal education pathways in esports and professional gaming. The survey highlights a generational divide, with 67% of Gen Z supporting gaming as a career, compared to only 37% of Baby Boomers. Awareness is increasing, with China leading acceptance among older generations.

Despite the growing acceptance, challenges remain. Many cite financial risks, competitive industry nature, and lack of societal support as barriers. Yet, 47% think schools should teach esports alongside traditional sports, with strong backing in Switzerland and China.

Derek Perez of Logitech G stresses the importance of resources and education for budding professionals. As esports gain respect, the need for professional training and transparency in earnings is clear. Logitech remains committed to supporting esports with advanced technology.
