Mallia Aesthetics Clears Regulatory Hurdles for sCD83-Based Hair Growth Ingredient
Mallia Aesthetics GmbH has announced significant progress in the regulatory process for its novel hair growth ingredient, MAL-838, derived from the protein sCD83. This advancement positions the company for the forthcoming launch of its 8T3 product line later this year.
The safety of MAL-838 has been affirmed following comprehensive evaluations, ensuring compliance with European Cosmetics Regulation EU 1223/2009. Additionally, MAL-838 has been officially recognized in the European CosIng database with the INCI name sh-Polypeptide-167. This step enhances consumer transparency and product labeling standards.
The 8T3 products have also been certified as microbiome-friendly, offering a gentle alternative in the hair growth market. Mallia aims to deliver effective and skin-compatible solutions, steering away from traditional products containing harsh solvents or preservatives.
