Malteries Franco-Belges and Soufflet Malt sign an equalization agreement
On July 1, 2025, Malteries Franco-Belges (MFB) and Soufflet Malt signed an equalization agreement. This agreement, approved by the MFB Board of Directors, pools the skills and resources of both entities. MFB is 92.33% owned by Soufflet Malt, thus facilitating cooperation. The agreement aims to equitably distribute the gross economic margin based on the quantities sold by each company. This initiative is expected to optimize the use of industrial capacity and support relationships with brewers.
The MFB Board of Directors emphasizes the value of this agreement for the company. The planned distribution is expected to generate proceeds of €16,471,000 for MFB, calculated according to the accounts for the financial year ending June 30, 2025. The agreement will be submitted for approval to the MFB General Meeting of Shareholders. The executives concerned did not participate in the deliberations to avoid any conflict of interest.
