Medacta Introduces Simplified M-ARS ACL Technique at AGA Congress 2024

CASTEL SAN PIETRO, September 12, 2024 - Medacta Group SA announced a new, simplified approach for its M-ARS ACL technique at the AGA Congress 2024 in Zürich, Switzerland. The M-ARS (Medacta - Anatomic Ribbon Surgery) technique aims to improve ACL reconstruction. By mimicking the native footprint, the method uses a flat graft to enhance stress distribution and biological healing, potentially improving recovery time and enhancing patient outcomes.

“Medacta’s simplified approach for M-ARS ACL streamlines graft tunnel creation, making the procedure more efficient and preserving the natural reconstruction philosophy,” explained Prof. Dr. Fink from Austria. Prof. Dr. Herbort from Germany supports the combined use of the M-ARS ACL system with the MectaQTH minimally invasive quad-tendon harvesting system, offering a broad range of personalized reconstruction options.

Medacta's Sports Medicine knee platform includes a variety of surgical approaches, innovative devices, and educational programs to support surgeons in achieving optimal results. The M.O.R.E. Medical education program accelerates the transition to arthroscopic knee reconstruction by providing access to global reference centers and wet lab training.
