Meyer Burger Modules Achieve Top Status in PVEL Testing
Swiss-based Meyer Burger Technology AG has seen its high-performance solar modules listed in the highest category of "top performers" by the US testing institute PV Evolution Lab (PVEL). The distinction comes following the company's first participation in PVEL’s battery of quality tests.
Being listed as a top performer in all reliability tests underscores the rarity of this achievement. Less than six percent of models garner this status across all PVEL's stringent testing criteria. The institute's results were released on June 5, 2024, in their 10th Annual PV Module Reliability Scorecard.
“This success reflects our quality and technology leadership in the industry,” remarked Madlen Apel, Head of Product Management at Meyer Burger. The accolade pertains to the existing product line, including the future utility module set to be produced in Goodyear, Arizona.
The PVEL scorecard is a key benchmark in the solar industry, focusing on reliability and performance metrics like temperature, humidity, mechanical stress, and hail resistance. These tests exceed standard IEC and UL requirements, offering critical quality insights for consumers and investors alike.
