Michter's Distillery to Release 10 Year Single Barrel Rye in 2026

Louisville-based Michter's Distillery announced the upcoming release of its 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye this June. This whiskey, known for its unique Kentucky style, incorporates more corn and malted barley than typical American ryes, offering a rich sweetness and complex flavor alongside its spice notes, according to Master Distiller Dan McKee.

President Joseph J. Magliocco noted that despite some hesitation from bourbon drinkers, many find themselves enjoying Michter's Rye. The focus on quality is emphasized by Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson, who highlights the barrel aging process that enhances the whiskey's character with baking spice, citrus, and floral notes.

Retailing at $210, the 92.8 proof spirit reflects Michter's legacy of offering high-quality traditional American whiskeys. Previously, Michter's was named "The World's Most Admired Whiskey" for three consecutive years by Drinks International.
