MIG Capital Leads €5 Million Series A Financing for Veterinary MRI Innovator HawkCell

MIG Capital announced its leadership in a €5 million Series A financing round for HawkCell, a French healthtech start-up. HawkCell is set to improve veterinary care and preclinical research through its proprietary MRI technology enhanced with AI algorithms designed specifically for animals. This investment round includes contributions from a notable French investment bank.

The innovative system developed by HawkCell features hardware and software that upgrade existing MRI machines for animal use, promising higher efficiency and better diagnostic outcomes. By leveraging 3D-printed MRI coils customized to animal morphology and AI-driven algorithms, HawkCell aims to reduce anesthesia use and minimize imaging times while delivering superior image quality.

With the new capital, HawkCell plans to expand its operations and further its product development efforts, targeting significant growth in the North American market. Alexis Girin, CEO of HawkCell, expressed excitement over gaining support from MIG Capital and emphasized the company's mission to bridge the gap between human and veterinary medicine.
